The Jesuits rose from the Society of Jesus that focused on reforming individuals rather than the church.
d) The Council of Trent was conducted between 1545 and 1563. The council was a definition of counter-reformation. The attendees were Pope Paul lV, Pius lV, and Paul lll. The council was critical in promoting the Church’s liturgy and practices. The council achieved proper reforms for internal life and good discipline of the church.
