Question description

A recent winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Mario Vargas Llosa, said: “Nothing better protects a human being against the stupidity of prejudice, racism, religious or political sectarianism, and exclusivist nationalism than this truth that invariably appears in great literature: that men and women of all nations and places are essentially equal (2010).” Vargas Llosa opted to leave a career in politics to writing novels as a way to more effectively enact change.-How might literature bridge some of the gaps between people, nations, and cultures?-What are some of the concepts of literature from our reading that may be used to help share a message of equality?
