Does God exist?

Topic 1: Does God exist?

If you think that God exists, then (i) spell out the strongest argument for your view, (ii) spell out the strongest objection that your opponents can make to your argument, and (iii) reply to your opponent’s objection.

If you think that God does not exist, then (i) spell out the strongest argument for your view, (ii) spell out the strongest objection that your opponents can make to your argument, and (iii) reply to your opponent’s objection. The Existence of God
When it comes to the debate about the existence of God, even the Bible states that there are those individuals that are yet to see sufficient evidence, yet on the other hand, they have surpassed the truth about God. On the other hand, the individuals that are determined to realize the existence of God can refer to His saying that, “Those who seek me will find me, for when one seeks with all their heart, I will be found.”
Among the significant facts that prove God exists is that the universe operates under uniform laws of nature. The fact that the world is orderly and reliable in which its laws never change is proof enough that there has to be a superior being that controls the universe as a whole. For instance, gravity always remains consistent, the speed of light is not subject to change, and the earth remains to rotate within 24hrs, which is bound to stay that way for eternity (Jackson 87). There is no substantial logical necessity that makes a whole universe to abide by and obey the rules of science and mathematics. It would be easier to imagine a universe that continually changes and in which things randomly pop into existence. However, it is through God’s power that the universe is in a position to maintain and uphold its laws of nature in a uniform manner.
On the contrary, for those who do not believe that God exists, their primary basis of the argument is structured around God’s omnipotence through the creation and complexity of the universe. They claim to promote the presence of a contradiction in God’s power by arguing that the universe began approximately fifteen billion years ago after the Big Bang explosion. As a result, all that exists on the earth is all energy and matter, including time and physical space. Mainly, since the universe began to exist, it means that it has a cause. Such a cause has to be associated with a timelessly present effect, and for this effect to have originated a long time ago, it has to choose a new effect without any predetermined conditions freely.
Nevertheless, the believers of the existence of God point out to the fact that there has to be a deliberate designer who had to create the universe while also sustaining it since time immemorial to the present day. God’s design of the universe, which is intentional and well crafted by a superior being beyond any human comprehension, can be proven by the perfect size of the earth. The earth holds a thin layer of both oxygen and nitrogen gases that extend for approximately 50 miles beyond its surface. If it was more extensive, the atmosphere would be like that of Jupiter that consists of free hydrogen, whereas if it were smaller, the atmosphere would be like that of Mercury, which is inhabitable (Mozley 204). The other factor to consider is that the water within the universe is tasteless, odorless, and colorless yet there is no living thing that can manage to survive without it. In addition, the human brain processes a significant amount of information simultaneously that amounts to over one billion messages per second, and there is a level of intelligence associated with it.
Overall, God exists, yet He does not force Himself on human beings. Instead, it is upon every individual to find Him and His love for humans. Besides, through finding God, people can access the sufficient proof He provides of His existence. Contrary to the non-believers’ arguments on the creation of the earth, God’s existence is mighty and powerful as shown through the human brain, the unique properties of water, and DNA, among other things that human beings find mysterious.
