The following coditions explains company who would like to implement information system. Company would like to keep track of its employees, departments, and projects. Assume that MIS department of company did requirements collection and analysis phase and give you specification report with following description:
“The company is organized into departments. Each department has unique name, unique number, and particular employee who manages department. We keep track of start date when that employee start managing department. A department may have several locations.
A department controls number of projects, each of which has unique name, unique number, and a single location.
We store each employee’s name, social insurance number, address, salary, sex, and birth date, Employee is assigned to one department but may work on several projects, which are not essential controlled by same department.
We keep track of number of hours per week which the employee works on each project. We also keep track of direct supervisor of each employee.
We wish to keep track of dependents of each employee for insurance purposes. We keep each dependent’s first name, sex, birth dale, and relationship to the employee.”
