The interrelationship between evidence-based practice, research, knowledge, and theory are essential in improving care. Theories guide research studies to derive the knowledge necessary to support evidence-based tasks (Fawcett & Garity, 2016). My comprehension of the interrelationships between the various concepts is comparable to Fawcett and Garity’s argument. For instance, I uphold the argument that the finest existing evidence impacts the nursing field (Mohammadi, 2016). I support Fawcett and Garity’s argument that nursing practice should employ the best available evidence to improve patient outcomes (Fawcett & Garity, 2016). For example, the nursing practice moved from triple aim to quadruple aim to improve the welfare of the care team. I concur with the Fawcett and Garity’s idea that healthcare requires continuous improvement through evidence-based practice derived from research.
