This is an individual coursework. The coursework has notional 100 marks and will be counted towards the module’s total mark by a weighting of 70%, i.e., the module’s [total marks] = 30% ? [cw1 marks] + 70% ? [cw2 marks].
1. Goal of the coursework
The goal of the coursework is to conduct a study on a Privacy-Preserving AI technology for health/biomedical application. To proceed with your coursework #2, you will need to select and focus upon an area of Privacy-Preserving AI, e.g.,
– privacy-enhancing technologies (PET):
o anonymization/pseudonymization,
o homomorphic encryption, o differential privacy , or o secure multi-party computation, or
– blockchain technology, – federated learning, – or similar.
For the avoidance of self-plagiarism, your completed coursework #2 should be substantially different from any of your other courseworks or projects, whether submitted or on-going.
To undertake your coursework #2, it is essential that you conduct a systematic search and study of the recent publications in the area and a thorough study on the relevant software toolkits / frameworks in the area.
The study of your coursework #2 should be carried out in two aspects, namely (i) comprehensive and critical analysis of the state of the art of the area, and (ii) experimental evaluation of a selected software toolkit / framework in the area.
