Development of a Chapter or Assigned Outside Reading Concept: Select a concept or technique (attempt to select a topic not already presented by another student) for discussion. Provide an overview of the relevant topic area that you find of interest, in 150 to 250 words; it may be helpful to view this as an executive summary. You may wish to more fully develop the concept using other sources and citations, and provide a real-world context for further discussion.

Introduce a Relevant Academic or Practitioner Article: Identify a current (within the past 90 days) journal article that provides insight into a concept from the current week and post a high level summary of the article, key insights from the article, and your evaluation of its relevance to the members of the class. Finish the post with a question or ask for other’s perspectives on the topic.

Ask Questions: The DBs are a good forum for examining difficult topics or concepts and asking for feedback, allowing us to leverage the diversity of background and experience from the entire class. Studying the material, completing the practical exercises, and asking questions in the DB posts is a great way to enhance learning for you and other students. Don’t be shy about asking questions; others may also benefit from the question.

Further Develop a Concept: if you have a reasonable grasp of the material, your response may involve more fully developing a concept presented by another student. Perhaps add additional perspectives through other references or through real-world experience involving the topic.
