This is a religion class which addresses the relationship between religion and human values and ethics. From the class teaching, pleasure disrupts the universe. The major actions of pleasure practiced by human being include eating, drinking, safe and safety, which are mainly practiced for the benefit of man. Human practices aim at searching excellence and happiness which can basically be defined as human satisfaction. With religion development, a human being has developed special aspects that make them different from animals. The difference is characterized by the decisions and choices we make, having a capacity to decide and understand good and evil.
Different religions have diverse aspects of life with the Buddhism valuing compassion, Christianity teaching about love and neighborhood and Sadism valuing practice for justice among human being. The fulfillment of human desire is expressed by one’s own personality and is the real definition of excellence. Fulfillment of excellence level is achieved by a commitment to work and being a good example to others by leaving a footprint for others to follow. One need to demand and work for excellence and encourage positive social and religious aspects like women empowerment.
The class defines symbols used to define religion with reference to holidays. These include birthday celebration defining individuals’ progression of life and valentine days or anniversaries celebrated by couples. The family is also created on the basis of either nucleated or extended. The nuclear family is celebrated during Christmas festive and extended during Thanksgiving. Family and individual relationships are enhanced by making people feel appreciated and important either by giving them gifts and prices or helping them fulfill their desires. Aspects considered negative by religion include discouragement, rebellion, failing to value other people’s priority or even making others feel less. Christianity is all about helping others and teaching brotherhood through extending of love and care and enhancing moral values among the human race.
