Unlike the concept of golden circle, the vision of the public health leadership is important rather than the input of the innovators and the early adopters of the health program services. The health leadership should create clear goals and programs that will help in promoting growth and performance in the hospitals.
In contrary, I believe that the main leadership skills for the leaders in public health includes vision-led programs, effective conflict resolution, and excellent communications skills2. However, the public leadership faces challenges of limited funding and inability to cope with the changes in regulation and advancement in medical technology and innovations.
Based on the example of good performance among the STEMI teams, it is clear that effective communication is important for the medical teams. Both verbal and written communication will assist in improving the health care outcomes3. I believe excellent communication skills is critical in improving performance in the health care sector.

Based on the review of the video, I support the significance of having clear vision and effective decision-making skills for public health leadership. Good leaders should be able to set clear goals and long-term plans to come up with good outcomes. When a public health leader has a clear vision, it helps in the streamlining the provision of health care services in the hospitals. Most importantly, decision making skills and the ability to engage with the varied stakeholders is critical3. For example, cancer research program depends on the input from the various stakeholders including financiers, government, public health professionals and supplies among others.
However, I think the challenges faced by the public health leaders are broader than the identified challenges. They include limited funding of their health care programs, adverse changes to the health care regulations and policies, and lack of team work and support from the health care professionals2. The leaders need the input of the health care workers to influence positive health care changes in the hospitals.

Contrarily, the TedTalk suggests that the good leaders should being inspirational through creating a clear picture of their goals and long-term focus. For example, a public health leader should create a picture of their long-term goals and how they can be achieved in the future. Inspirational perspective, strong communication skills, and reflection skills are critical leadership skills that is relevant in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of public health3. Good leadership skills are needed to improve positive health care outcomes. Inspirational perspective relies on having a clear vision of the critical health care programs and policies.
Largely, I agree that challenge of maintaining focus on the long-term projects and changes is critical. Long-term implementation of health projects is a key challenge for the public health leaders.1 However, the leaders face the limitation of severe financial constraints and changes in regulations and policies. Potential changes in regulatory programs creates challenge to improve public health care.
