Mental Health lntroduction Mental health behaviors for the victims and the responders can be defined as the behavior problems that are suffered by the victims of disasters and the first responders. For example, among the law enforcements, around 125 to 350 police officers engage in suicide. Mental behavioral health helps to counter such behaviors through the provision of mental health and stress management services to victims and first responders. The mental health behaviors among the victims and responders includes emotional instabilities such as excessive sadness and irritability, cognitive dysfunction, physical problems such as stomach pain and difficulty in breathing, behavioral reactions such as interpersonal conflicts and failure to follow medical needs.

The mental health resources required for such conditions includes case management, community treatment, supportive housing, community support program, intensive treatment team, special needs fundamental care, housing programs, and other alternative interventions (Bradley University Online, 2018). All crisis intervention services should be done in a more supportive way. The crisis intervention programs are relevant and more useful for persons from all groups including children and adults. lt could occur in diverse settings including hospital emergency rooms, crisis centers, mental health clinics, correctional facilities, and other social service units. ln addition, social support services are a useful crisis intervention service. The social support program usually involves spending time with individuals who offer care and feeling of comfort. As such, the social support programs and services would help to understand the crisis and help the victims feel better and address the issue.
