Need paper reviewed and reviised

Question description

The paper needs to be 2-3 pages Help write my thesis – APA format.  Please take out anything related to Lockwood as well as the reference for Lockwood.  Needs a new example. This was a teaching project for nursing students to teach hands only CPR to children (girls) 2nd through 5th grade.  Please add and revise. Here is the criteria that needs to be included in the paper.  Please address each bullet point and include in text citations with credible references dated less than 5 years old.Thorough explanation of content presented to audienceAssignment help – Discussion of why this topic is significant to nursing from a disease prevention, health promotion, and/or health maintenance perspective Assignment help – Discussion of why this topic is important to the target audience and the larger communitySupporting statements and in text references about topic included throughout each bullet point. Here is the paper below that needs revised. The information we presented to our targeted audience was Hands-Only CPR.  Hands-Only CPR is an important technique that can be taught and performed by the lay person, which makes a significant impact on the survival of a patient suffering from a cardiac arrest. According to the American Heart Association every minute without bystander CPR, survival rates decrease by 10%. Simple steps such as pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest at a rate of 100 compressions per minute increases a victim’s survival rate.  Popular songs such as “Stayin Alive” is one example to help remember the CPR rhythm. A procedure for Hands-Only CPR saves lives and results to an improved record of neurologic outcomes that make survival of the patient possible (Sayre, Berg, Cave, Page, Potts, & White, 2008). Early defibrillation is crucial in this method since it leads to increased oxygen circulation within a short period.According to Lockwood (2014), it is the responsibility of every health professional to save lives. For example, in California where a senior resident living at Bakersfield suffered a cardiac arrest but instead of the nurse giving CPR to the victim she called 911. The reason behind her decision was that she had no permission to provide resuscitation and, therefore, wouldn’t offer such services (Lockwood, 2014). Unfortunately the patient died. This issue is now heavily criticized by all medical practitioners who argued institutional rules cannot match saving lives. One of them was Davis Shaywitz of the Forbes magazine who contributes on issues of medicine. Thus, Hands-Only CPR is critical in health promotion, disease prevention as well as health maintenance, especially to the cardiac arrest victims (Sayre, Berg, Cave, Page, Potts, & White, 2008).  If the nurse administered Hands-Only CPR, she could have possibly saved her life. The issue of administering CPR doesn’t lie on health professionals only but also to the society as a whole. The question on Hands-Only CPR is important to everyone in the society as well as the healthcare professionals.  For example, the above referenced patient in California.  If the police had the knowledge about CPR, the woman would have survived (Lockwood, 2014). The same applies to us as the healthcare professional; the methods of administering Hands-Only CPR, its role, and training should be at our fingertips. Amongst the students, it is their responsibility to maintain the health of all patients, especially to the cardiac arrest patients (Sayre, Berg, Cave, Page, Potts, & White, 2008). One way to maintain the health of the society as a whole is by training members on Hands-Only CPR procedures.Lockwood (2014) states that a student equipped with that knowledge are in a position to indicate additional treatment. Another fact to look at as students is contraindications of Hands-Only CPR. An example of contraindication of CPR is that of a woman who died in California. As per the argument of the nurse who was supposed to attend the patient, the victim had permission to resuscitation. The question is how the society helps in Hands-Only CPR administration (Sayre, Berg, Cave, Page, Potts, & White, 2008). For the community at least they should be in a position to do the basics like chest compression and giving a breath of life (Oxygenation) so that if a patient is critically ill they can do the first aid before the medical staff arrives (Lockwood, 2014).References”Heartorg Home Page.” American Heart Association.
