Various patterns of the youth’s household experience at the time of admission from 2013 to 2014, include parental marital status with consideration of separated or divorced parent, which indicated that from 2013 to 2017, most youths at the time of admission had adverse childhood experience resulting from it, with all years recording more than 80% related cases to parents separated or divorced. The pattern elating to incarcerated household member adverse childhood experience of youths admitted from 2013 to 2017 indicates a high number of youths were exposed to the family or household members that had been incarnated, with each year recording over 55% of the exposed youths. The overall treatment needs among new admissions in 2017 include 99.4% of youths requiring any specialized treatment need, 86.6% requiring two or more specialized treatment needs, and 46.6% requiring three or more specialized treatment needs. The findings will help the Texas juvenile justice institution to design and plan treatment structure and approaches based on the overall treatment needs and define the priority of treatment of each category.
