Organizations that incorporate cloud Based storage solutions can enjoy the benefits that come along with the technology. As the world advances in the technology sector, it is only reasonable that corporations assimilate these practices to boost their performance. Take, for example, the services offered by the cloud. Identity as a Service (IDaaS), Data Storage and collaborations are but the tip of the iceberg to what a business can accomplish using the cloud.
IDaaS gives cloud administration the ability to manage multiple user accounts by simplifying user login management. This ID management then enables cloud users to access the cloud using a single point of entry rather than having to remember various passwords when they need to access other services over the cloud (Palmer 2016). An example is when a business needs to use both databases and other applications that aid in business management and they have to log in at each access point. There are many cases of cyber-crime, and the cloud is one technological area that can fall victim is the users do not have strong passwords (Bunyard, 2018). As much as internet security risks are high, cloud-based storage solutions are well equipped with the IDaaS Single Sign-On mechanism (SSO). This mechanism helps the administration to determine the levels of access each account is granted.
Data Storage in the Cloud has proved to organizations that they do not need their own data centres to manage a vast amount of information. Network Attached Storage devices and file servers are soon to be a thing of the past as companies can hire similar services from various providers (Palmer 2016). Rao, 2015, claims that businesses face complicated issues when they fail to consider cost-effective access to data. Furthermore, the company can work more efficiently due to cost reductions and support offered by the providers. Organizations are able to scale their storage capacity up or down according to their needs or budget. Data storage in the cloud has enabled businesses to pay for use instead of spending more than their returns.
Collaboration in the Cloud is proof that the internet has made businesses achieve efficiency without the traditional physical meetups. People can now work online to achieve their set goals (Palmer, 2016). Even though Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) has been around for a while, the cloud meeting rooms and shared applications have enabled businesses to conduct their activities from remote locations. Companies are now taking advantage of cloud collaborations to set up virtual teams and expand businesses (Bunyard, 2018). Sharing applications such as Content Management Software (CMS) on the cloud ensures that businesses can input work on the same site from different locations. The cloud improves the effectiveness of businesses through these collaborations that help in saving transport costs, increasing productivity since staff spend more time focusing on their tasks, and at the same time incorporating people who may not be able to make it to physical meetings.
In conclusion, IDaas, Data Storage and collaboration on the cloud allow businesses to enjoy unlimited storage while working online in secure conditions. Most companies are now adapting to the cloud as they offer efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Like any other technology, the cloud will undoubtedly steer enterprises to accomplish their objectives when applied appropriately. The paradigms offer real-time scalability, reliability and availability that can benefit a businesses’ performance in the longrun.
