I must confess that I loved reading your paper; not only is it interesting and informative but also meticulous. You have addressed each question thoroughly leaving no room for questions; I am impressed. I do agree that the biblical argument for environmental stewardship entails caring for and respecting God’s creation. Therefore, this is a call for us to be careful even when using technology so as not to damage what God has created (Lagat, 2019). It is true that technology is not innately bad; however, how humans decide to use it matters. If humans use it to improve creation then it is good but if they use it to destroy creation, then it is bad. Just like you, I do believe that Christians should be concerned about the environment. God made us stewards of everything He created, the environment included. Therefore caring for the environment is an act of obedience.
Environmentalists are definitely people who are primarily concerned about preserving and protecting the environment. It should also be noted that environmentalists are also of the belief that environmental resources are limited and vulnerable, and this is why they put so much emphasis on the need to protect these resources (Layzer, 2016). Apart from placing much value on economic growth, cornucopians also believe that restrictions on the use of environmental resources threaten the well-being of human beings. I disagree that the Cornwall Alliance is an environmentalist group. In my opinion, the group is cornucopian. This is because the alliance focuses more on economic growth rather than the protection and conservation of the environment. As such, most of their activities are geared more towards ensuring humans thrive even at the expense of the environment.
