This week’s assignment requires you to apply some of the theories you have learned so
far and apply them to a real-world scenario. Successful completion of this activity needs
to demonstrate that you can go beyond defining project management-related terms and
map them to a given concept. You will research a project of your choice and identify
some of the terms and concepts in that project.
Instructions:
• Research the cost of feeding and sustaining soldiers or mercenaries. The soldiers/
mercenaries do not have to be American or British, the soldiers/mercenaries can be
from any country. Whether they are hostile or friendly to the US and the UK. Provide
an overview of the project.
• Explain various components of the project, including:
• What qualifies your chosen project as a “project”: Feeding an Army/Mercenaries
is a huge business that requires money and logistics.
• Project objective(s) To fight and win the nation’s wars/organizations objective by
providing the fighter with food.
• Project manager’s role: Coordinates and oversees the service line work of the
Food Services crew providing quality service to the customer. Ensuring that food
does not run out for the soldiers.
