Variation is a major challenge affecting the efficiency and effectiveness of the workflow and processes in the healthcare organizations. Reduction in statistical variation helps in the improvement of the quality of work in a healthcare organization (Ferguson, 2018).
a) The key process for healthcare organization involves focusing on the patient. The healthcare organization designs its services to provide appropriate care for their patients and ensure organizational evaluation that makes sure the healthcare organization runs efficient and effective operations. The healthcare organization also ensures the system meets the need of the community it serves and provides satisfaction for the patient needs.
b) There are various potential common causes of variation that are likely to impact on the key processes in healthcare organizations which mainly include the complexity of the healthcare processes. It is probably not possible for a single individual to understand everything or perform all the system duties at the same time to make the system provide more than one discipline. The effectiveness of the system is determined by the commitment and creativity of the staffs. Meeting the variation of the community served, the healthcare organization need to enhance the variety of the services provided.
c) The most important cause of the healthcare organization is when the patient gets sick and the system is not in a position to take care of him/her. This situation provides the major critical problem of the organization. The healthcare organization needs to be available full time and accessible at any time required in order to enhance workplace variation that enhances immediate service provision to the patients.
d) A healthcare organization business environment can manage to be dynamic to facilitate change over time through facilitating appropriate organizational growth strategies. Formulation of appropriate strategies to facilitate growth enables the organization to concentrate on the efforts that enable organizational change like the advancement of technology and the improvement of the learn system. Taking care of the patients require the healthcare organization to initiate creative approaches that minimize the operational cost.
