Parts of the Case Analysis

Each case analysis must have a written report (60 points) and an oral presentation (PPO) (40 points) to
a total of 100 points.
The written report should not exceed 5 pages, single-spaced, and should cite a minimum of five
bibliographical references from academic journals. The page limit does not include graphs, annexes, or tables
that complement the analysis. The analysis must be concise and efficient without the need to dwell on areas
that are not relevant. .

The analysis, both written and oral, should be organized as follows:

company, its vision/mission. This part should not exceed two paragraphs.

II. Identification of the problem
• Express clearly the main problem of the company without using
complicated arguments.
• Provide a brief background of the situation presented in the case to put the
perspective analysis.

III. Analysis of the situation
• Conduct all necessary and relevant analyzes (e.g. analysis of the environment
business, industry, competition, and consumer).
• Interpret the situation: internal strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and
external threats (SWOT analysis). For each aspect,

IV. Strategic Alternatives
• Provide a list and brief explanation (specific) of 3 strategic alternatives

Support the evaluation with quantitative and qualitative analysis where applicable
(can include tables, matrices, figures).
• Explain the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.

V. Recommendation and Implementation
• Select the recommended strategic alternative to solve the problem.

• Present and explain the reasons that support the recommendation
using relevant points from the analysis of the situation presented in the
previous section.
• Briefly explain the next steps to follow to implement the
recommended strategy (who, what, where, when, and why).
