Subject: On Level Biology

Upon entering the classroom, you observe students at individual desks, seated in rows, facing the front of the room. You do not observe any disruptive behavior during the observation. For the full 10 minutes you are in the room, Mr. Smith is presenting material about the parts of the cell using a PowerPoint. He is instructing from the front of the room (because that is where the computer is) and his presentation is concise, yet thorough and informative. There are multiple pictures, diagrams, etc. included in the presentation. During the presentation, a couple of students ask clarifying questions about the material. Most of the students are taking notes during the presentation. He is teaching from the front of the room, where the computer is, and his talk is short, but complete and full of useful information. The presentation has a lot of pictures, diagrams, and other visuals. During the presentation, a couple of students ask questions that help them understand what is being said. During the presentation, most of the students are taking notes.
