the interview questions or survey items you intend to use for your research.
Part One: Submit Interview Questions/Survey Items

Research Topic and Research Questions
This study’s research topic is the “Involvement of parents in the Classroom of English Language Learners (ELL),” focusing on establishing the significance of parents being involved in the ELL’s classroom considering the lack of seriousness from the school fraternity. The respective research questions include:
1. What are the specific issues affecting the parent to child and parent to school interactions and communications leading to the lack of parental involvement in ELLs’ classroom?
2. What is the school administration and fraternity’s role in influencing ELL parents’ engagement and involvement within the classroom?
3. What can the school administration and the fraternity, in general, do within their jurisdictions to facilitate parental engagement and involvement within the ELL classroom?
Research Methodology
Research Design
This research will primarily incorporate the correlational research design to determine the relationship between the variables using statistical data. The research will seek to identify any trends and patterns within the data (WSSU, 2021). The data, relationships, and the variables’ distribution are studied solely in their natural settings without any manipulation.
The meta-analysis research design is to be incorporated within this research where a systematic evaluation and summary of results from several individual studies is done. This design intends to increase the overall sample size and the researcher’s capacity to study their interest effects. Therefore, the researcher will not just be summarizing the knowledge but developing a new understanding of the research problem through synoptic reasoning (University of South Carolina, 2021). This meta-analysis’s primary objective is to analyze differences in the results presented in various studies and increase the precision in the estimated effects. Notably, for the researcher to have a well-designed meta-analysis, there will be strict adherence to criteria selected u identifying the studies and the available information within each study to analyze the findings properly.
Data Collection and Data Analysis
The internet provides several channels for the collection of data. In this case, online surveys will be conducted specifically through the online research communities (Questionpr.com, 2019). These communities provide a considerable number of respondents in this research. The primary respondent to be considered is school representatives such as administrators and teachers, the ELL parents and ELL students. These participants are expected to answer a survey questionnaire with questions tailored to collect the relevant information. Additionally, the findings presented by the secondary sources selected for the meta-analysis will be identified in relation to the research topic.
Descriptive analysis will be incorporated to analyze the survey information, which entails analyzing the complete data. It will mainly consider percentage and frequency since it will be handling categorical data. A systematic review of the identified secondary sources’ findings will also be incorporated to find the similarities and differences in relation to this research topic. The whole findings will inform this research and answer the research questions.
Survey Questionnaire
The research will use a questionnaire as its survey item, which will contain both open and close-ended questions tailored to fit this research’s objectives. A 5-point Likert scale will be used for the closed-ended questions. The higher the score, the higher the level of the respondent’s agreement with the question posed.
The following questions will be included:
1. How would define the ELL parental involvement within the respective ELL classroom?
2. What is the level of the present real or perceived parental involvement in the ELL Classroom?
3. How aware are you as an administrator/teacher/student of ELL parents’ expectations within the ELL classroom?
4. Has the school put any effort into increasing awareness of parental involvement among the ELL students and families?
5. How would you rate the importance of parental involvement within the ELL classroom?
6. Do you believe the school is putting considerable efforts into ensuring parental involvement within the ELL Classroom?
7. Which of the following measures has been implemented by schools to facilitate parental involvement within the ELL Classroom?
● Any questions, concerns, or comments on the ELL student from the parent ate immediately handled by the teacher, principal, or school counselor.
● There are regular ELL parent meetings for learning on English learning issues, among other related issues.
● The school provides various ways to be involved in ELL learning, especially at home.
● Parents are constantly informed on their student’s learning and behavioral needs to enhance their abilities, including tutoring, mentoring, and career exploration.
● The school does value parental involvement within the ELL classroom.
8. How effective are the school efforts/programs in improving parental involvement within the ELL classroom?
9. What are the expectations of schools in regards to parental involvement within the ELL classroom?
10. What are ELL parents’ expectations from the schools in regards to parental involvement within the ELL Classroom?
11. What improvements or initiatives can schools implement to improve parental involvement within the ELL classroom?
12. What are the challenges interfering with parental involvement within the ELL Classroom?
13. What can schools do to eradicate these challenges and develop strong, trusting relationships with ELL parents?
