Different patients have different reactions when they are being diagnosed and informed of their health conditions. When the patient is not aware of they are suffering from, they tend to be psychologically tortured as they are not aware of their fate. In many cases, doctors take time to assess their mental stability and emotional quotient before breaking the news to the patient informing them about they suffer from a chronic disease These are serious health .The news can be burdening to the patient which can affect how the patient’s mindset and recovery process. But one best solution to help the patient deal with such medical conditions is to seek advice from the doctor.
When a patient is being diagnosed with a life threatening disease like cancer, the patient may experience times of distress and feel a range of strong emotion such as disbelief, fear, sadness, anxiety and anger. This diagnosed can affect their love ones too and even friends but the highest trauma is on the patient. Diagnosing cancer at its earliest stages often provides the best chance of a cure, depending on the stage of the cancer .This problem needs to be immediately looked at because it is a life threatening condition.
One of the best solutions to this problem is to seek advice from the doctor. As a doctor the best thing to do in such a condition is to help the patient understand what they are suffering. Psychological response to illness is very important to the patient as it has a way of influencing their recovery rate and chances of making it. The doctor helps in creating confidence in the patient and explaining all terms easily. The patient might have questions to the doctor who must try their best to explain in simple terms. When the patient understands what they are suffering from, it gives them confidence and a positive mental response. This is good and the best and first step to recovery as compared to when patients are uncertain of what they are going through and what can happen to them. So seeking advice from the doctor is the best option for patients because the doctor is at the right place to guide the patient go through their treatment, make appointment for their check up and ensure that they get the right treatment.
Furthermore, Patients who are diagnosed with cancer can seek advice from people with the same medical condition. There are peer support programs and specific organizations that can match patients with preexisting medical conditions with those who have survived the same medical condition. For example, they receive information from social media phones, text and connecting face to face with someone with firsthand experience will help patient in relieving stress, trauma thereby relieving their mood. But seeking advice from the doctor is one of the best ways to help patients go through their treatment model they will be subjected to.
In a nutshell, seeking advice from the doctor is the best way to help the patient build confidence and setting the right mental attitude as patient receive treatment and the only the doctor’s advice can help patient accept their medical condition .This solution will also be considerable in future because only doctors can tell people of their medical conditions and prepare them to accept whatever may be the diagnosed and provide them with the best treatment plan.
